Do you suffer from Negative Thinking and low self confidence?

There is something most people do not realize and I must say that I did not know until recently.

We are all negativity biased. The news is negative, the fashion industry tells us we are not pretty enough and we are bombarded with things we “need”. All these influences erode our self-confidence.

The first thing we need to do is RECOGNIZE our negative thoughts and then replace them.  We don’t overcome negative thought patterns, we replace them.  For most of us, those negative thought patterns are well-worn neural pathways.  The first thing is to notice when you have started the pattern.  Then acknowledge that it’s a pattern you want to change.  Articulate what you want to be different.  Choose to reframe the negative thought into a positive one. One that serves you.

Be your own best friend in the way you talk to yourself.  We are mean to ourselves when our self-talk is negative and we lose self-confidence.  The best thing to do is RELEASE it.  Let it go do not dwell on it.  This has been one of my biggest challenges, but I am here to let you know you can do it just like I did.

Made a conscious effort to find things to love, like, and appreciate.

Instead of fighting negative thoughts consciously REPLACE them for better feeling thoughts.  One powerful way to do that is to speak out loud about what you love, like, and appreciate.  Then tell yourself what you need to hear. 

The new pattern would be something like this.  Recognize, Release and Replace.  Take that negative thought release it with a friendly “bye-bye” and flip it around to positive and speak the new thought into your life confidently.
