Three Tips On How To Build Your Inner Strength
Embrace what scares you….
What do you want? Do some of the things on that list scare you?
I want to write a book and it scares me. It scares me to put the story together so it is clear and brings a message to others. It scares me that it will be boring and uninteresting. The victory comes from doing that thing that scares us but we do it anyway. Remember the first rollercoaster ride? Did it scare you? And at the finish what was the experience for you? You just finished the ride and it was amazing. That’s how embracing that thing that scares us creates inner strength.
De-clutter your mind…
There are many ways to declutter the mind but one that I have found is meditation. By calming constant thoughts with a guided meditation or a complete 20 minutes of silence, I can return to what I was doing with an open clear state of mind. I must inform you that this does take some consistent effort on your part but is completely worth doing to reach the clear mind we so desire.
Become your own best friend….
What does your best friend say to you to encourage and uplift you? Now how does that compare to what you tell yourself? I have caught myself saying, “I don’t know what to do.” but in reality, we are the only ones who will know what to do we just haven’t figured it out yet. To build our inner strength we need to talk to ourselves with kindness and compassion just like our best friend talks to us.
