How Does Meditation work?
Meditation is a practice that reduces stress, promotes relaxation, and develops a sense of self-awareness and well-being.
The approach necessitates the training of the mind and the alteration of one’s state of consciousness.
This occurs when a person is completely awake, yet his or her mind wanders off into the subconscious.
Meditation is also considered a positive practice in spiritual and religious contexts. In almost all religions,
it is regarded as an act to get in touch with the spiritual being.
Types of Meditations
Critical analysis of scientific researchers has shown that the benefits of meditation can be obtained from different practices.
These include:
- Transcendental Meditation: this is the basic type in which you sit on the floor or chair upright for 20 mins twice a day.
- This will help you improve your thinking and deal with stress.
- Vipassana Meditation: this practice helps you deal with emotions.
- It is common amongst the Buddhist tradition and requires mindfulness.
- Visualization Meditation: this creative meditation promotes optimism and confidence.
- It involves concentrating on an image or vision and visualizing yourself achieving it.
The advantages of meditation are not only psychological but also spiritual. With such significant benefits,
the treatment remains one of the most effective ancient tracking treatments. However,
you will only be able to achieve your meditation goals if you put them into practice.

Hi Joan. This is a great post and very educational. I have been practicing meditation for over three years and makes me feel relaxed, confident, and healthier.
Yes Jorge, all those things were mentioned in the video. Relaxed Confident and healthier
Wow Joan! This is so informative. I did not know about the different types of meditations. Thanks for sharing them. Keep shining your light to everyone. You’re new friend, Elena Perez
You are my new friend, so great you are part of our guide program.
Great information on meditation! It’s fantastic to discover there are actually different types. Thanks for sharing.
Yes Brad, we can incorporate the different types. My first instructor would meditate for an hour each morning. I admired her sticking to a routine like that.
Very nice blog Joan! Lots of interesting and information and a video too!
Hi-Tech for me right?
Ah yes, meditation is so powerful I am hoping one day they might start teaching this as part of the school curriculum 🤞🙏❣️ can you imagine that age group being taught such a powerful and enlightened technique to deal with issues that may arise ☺️💯
Hello Brenda, Yes that is what I would love to see too. My Granddaughter is in 2nd grade next year and I would love to see her meditate
Thanks, Joan, for this wonderful exposé on the practice of meditation, et al. Very valuable indeed — as is your growing presense on our M23K Marco Polo! 🙂
Thank you Loren for recognizing how important Meditation is for us all.
I totally agree “The single most important skill needed today.” I’ve been thinking about this lately after discussions with different people- and in different trainings. It’s hard to communicate the full value, this is a great start! I’ll come back to this. I heard a very prominent coach recently talk about it as if it’s just for relaxation, and not very valuable because 80% of people who try it give up. Well, Charles Haanel has an awesome system for learning powerful mediation in the Master Keys. One of so many priceless tools I got from the MKE!
Joan, thanks for explaining the importance of meditation. From your blog rover from your blog rover friend John.
I like that you agree with me on the importance of meditation.
